Time flies, what on earth we do with it ? A brief recap will help us all I think.
Our friends Graham and Else met us in Luxembourg City and took us for a bit of sightseeing then back to their place for lunch, what a lovely day
Time to move Linquenda from Grevenmacher, so back down the Moselle River, sharp turn right onto the Saar and back up to Saarburg to moir on commercial quay and wait for next visitors Kirsten & Lars
Had a great 5 days with Kirsten & Lars, did a bit of tourist stuff in Saarburg then cruised up the Saar to Merzig
Hot weather continued, seems to have been a hot and humid summer, have had a little bit of rain as of late thank goodness because a month ago there was great concern for water levels of a lot of the rivers .
After Kirsten & Lars left we moved back down to Schwemlingen onto a commercial quay, a particuarly beautiful stretch of the Saar
Left Schwemlingen early Friday morning suddenly the fog moved in ! Crawled along to Merzig, moored and wait until it lifted.
Safety arrived to Völklingen latter that day, on a pontoon near the steel works , more on them in next blog, blakberry season and this us a particularly good area for them so Knud got busy picking, I got busy making jam, think you will enjoy this batch Pam

Oh yum! We are going to go to Volklingen steel works at end of our trip enroute to Unteregerai in Switzerland
