Arrived back to Linquenda in Brandenburg Plaue Sunday 15th May. The old girl looking good and most importantly still floating. A busy few days getting tarps off, supplies in, water tanks filled, engine ticking over and flowers into flower boxes. Had arrived back in the middle of a long weekend, shops which are always shut on Sundays also shut for the Monday of a long weekend! Fortunately had a few weird supplies in supply cupboard so managed until Tuesday, fell upon the fresh fruit and veg like a woman possessed Tuesday morning. Had arrived back to Germany with cool weather, hesters on for first few days.
Can't have a barge without flowers.
We left home port Wednesday 18th and made our way slowly up the Havel River towards Werder, a favourite stopping place.
Some members of Team Linquenda thrilled with the Classic Car show in Werder .
Summer arrived all of a sudden, temps shot up to high 20's, first fat naked German spotted swimming ( sorry no photo) Australia the blow fly is the indicator of summers arrival, here its the naked swimmers.
Our frieds Tove & Niels arrived from Denmark to spend a few days with us. A refreshing beer enjoyed ( actually a few were enjoyed) A lovely time spent together , we cruised up to Potsdam with them.
A cycle/walk through Sanssouci Park in Potsdam. Acres of parkland and palaces. Chinese pavilion in the background.
