Post card from Mendoza

Lazy start after a good sleep. Spent the day wandering around and hopefully getting our bearings. Mendoza a beautiful airy city,mainly low rise with streets, squares and avenues made deliberately wide after the city was rebuilt in the 19th century after a major earthquake. Streets are lined with plenty of trees,(mainly plane ) the shade delightful especially on a warm day as we have today. (31 a bit of a shock to the system)
Time for a siesta after one of the famous Argentinian steaks for lunch.

One very long day

Argentina, Mendoza 12thNov 2013
Arrived safely into Mendoza after a long day of traveling. the flight from Santiago to Mendoza stunning with fantastic views of the snow covered Andes. Booked into our apartment then a stroll downtown to find dinner. Ate unfashionably early(7.30)there is no way we could stay up any longer. Mendoza a buzz with people everywhere,including young children!!
Now just after 9 & everyone collapsed. Bed is looking very attractive.
Delighted that this place has internet so was able to send Auckland entry a few hours ago.

Tuesday 12th November Auckland

Well the trip started with a bang,literally. About 15min out of Sydney when there was an almighty explosion!!! We had been hit by lightning!!!! Selected oxygen masks dropped(our being some of them) A stunned silence as we all regrouped, shit. A little while latter the captain came on the intercom to wish us a continued relaxing trip!! A little latter Knud & I were asked if we would like to change seats,only had spare seats up in business class, oh OK,guess we may as well. Now have an extended wait in Auckland as they sort out a new plane.

Truly tragic way for a middle age woman to spend the afternoon

Still trying to come to grips with this blog technology. What I want to know is why does the screen keeps changing. Each time I log on the screen is different!!!! One could become very unlady like.
OK time to try attaching another photo.

Next test

OK having another go at trying a blog,will experiment with trying to attach another photo as I seem to be at a completely different site than I was last time.

Strangely I have attached a photo(taken last week at Castle Hill, near Arthur's Pass NZ of Fillipa,Thor,Knud&Kaj) Can't work our how to attach the photos description to the photo.

 OK this is a bit of a test, having a wee play about with technology I'll even try to see if a photo can be attached!!!!!

 oh that was a bit of a surprise! Well this is a picture of somewhere  inNorway. Goodness knows where the photos are that Ihave actually taken with this tablet thingy, all shall be revieled no doubt over the course of time.
