Enjoying the lakes

A wonderful 6 days with Anne and Andreas visiting, sun shone, and warm enough to be swimming from Linquenda.

Early morning on Zootzersee, pulling up anchor before heading to a good quay , the expected storm not far behind.

Great wall sculpture, now you know what to do with all those extra garden tools.

Out cycling and found wild blue berries growing! a lot of of work to collect a few to make some jam with but worth the effort

As you can see the berries are tiny, but trust me they are very tasty.

Chloe and Knud

Anne, Chloe and Anette out mucking about in the row boat. Wonderful having these gorgeous girls on board.

Germany in July

Where does the time go, suddenly realised that it's been a couple of weeks since the last sign of life from us.
Seen while out cycling, do like a quirky sculpture.

Our gorgeous great nieces ,Anne and Freya.

Water Lillies growing en masse , gives an almost tropical feel to some of the canals

Our niece Stine, her partner Kim and Anne and Freya enjoy a swim from Linquenda on a hot day. We had a lovely anchorage in a sheltered bay and all took advantage of cooling off on numerous occasions.

Now this is service. Fellow delivers fresh smoked fish, ice creams, beer, bread, cake etc Arrived a just the right moment when the troops were longing for an ice cream.

After some wonderful days with Stine, Kim , Anne and Freya we said our goodbyes then headed up to Neustrelitz. Autumn had felt like it had arrived, strong winds, overcast and cool. Neustrelitz is a pretty town that in recent years undergone a bit of a makeover. This photo of the main square plaza , reminded us a little of Nancy. Had been a grand place once upon a time with a huge Palace, since destroyed however palace gardens still exist.

Wäschespülhaus , a little folly built in 1821 in a Chinese style down by the lakes edge.
Has been difficult to get any good photos because light has been so poor. Promise of better weather latter this week, maybe even sunshine!!

The sun is shinning

Oh happy days, the sun is shinning the sky is blue

Cruising out of Lübz early morning the light on and reflections of the little boat houses beautiful

I do love a pretty door and certainly not disappointed in Plau am See.

Plau am See a lovely little town that is being slowly done up. A number of day boat sightseeing trips from here around the Plau lake so the influx of tourists gives the place a bit of a buzz.

Well, what can I say. Actually what I said was shit where is my camera.
Your eyes don't deceive you. It is a dog and a racoon out for their evening paddle.
